Artist's Statement: "It was when I became involved with beads that I found my true calling. My need to be creative and to work with colors and design had finally found a home. My pieces utilize different sizes and shapes of beads and are made using a wide assortment of off-loom bead weaving stitches. |

| I started creating amulet pouches and vessels using freeform peyote. Experiments with shaping the vessels led me to try to sculpt three dimensional forms, and the twisted peyote and brick forms are the result. | |
Making those tiny little seed beads into 3 dimensional forms has become my goal. I am not happy with flat beadwork; it has to have structure, texture and stand up off of the table." |
