| Nice is a fairly recent piece. It had emerged from side thematic writing I’ve been capturing for “Origins”, a novel I’ve been taking too long to write, and it reflects some of the frustration I’ve felt about having to steal time for my writing while commuting by train to my day job. | |
| But Grand Unified Theology goes back ten years, with long gaps in between revisions. And others are even older. Yet it wasn’t until the last few edits I felt I had to make to prepare them for submission that I could declare them to be finished. In the process, I have found that completing the circuit -- from transmitter to receiver -- was essential. Without that, the works are never done." | |
