Artist's Statement:

"Recently my work has dealt with the themes of human potential and inspiration. Using myth and metaphor I address the individual’s role in shaping culture and society.

Imaginary Friends illustrates examples in film where characters are unable to discern reality from the imagined. Fight Club in particular could be seen as a cautionary tale to those unwilling or unable to achieve their potential.
American Girl and The Dryad Inversed are examples of how a person can alter their surroundings when they utilize what’s inside them. The birds are a metaphor for potential, which the girl releases into the world, while others have birds still trapped in their 'cages.' Inversed colors serve as a visual cue that the surrounding world is being altered."
